JAFFA

The old city of jaffa is a city of layers where so many famous events and stories are literally piled layer above layer. It’s a city with 4000 years of history and it’s one of the oldest port cities in the world. A visit to the site reveals its ancient past as you stroll along archeological remains and tales from the time of the ancient Egyptians, the bible, the Greeks, the Romans, the Crusaders, the Ottomans and the British. And all these are tucked between picturesque narrow alleyways and a scenic port.  Jaffa also offers sophisticated art at its artists quarter and a beautiful view from its highest point at peak garden. Then, once you’re done exploring the old city, a short walking distance is Jaffa’s vibrant flee market full of shops, bars, and restaurants.
